Jon Manasse is principal clarinetist with American Ballet Theatre and New York’s Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra, and Jon Nakamatsu is a notable piano soloist and chamber musician, winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1997. As well as serving as co-directors of the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, the two appear as an ensemble of long standing. In addition to playing several duo compositions, including André Messager’s Solo de concours and Brahms’ Clarinet Sonata No. 2, each will be featured in a solo number: Paquito d’Rivera’s “Lecuonerias” (from The Cape Cod Files) with Manasse, and Chopin’s Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise brillante with Nakamatsu. The concert is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, at Los Alamos High School’s Duane Smith Auditorium (1300 Diamond Drive, Los Alamos). Tickets, $30, are available from Tickets Santa Fe at the Lensic (505-988-1234, www.ticketssantafe.org); at the door, they cost $35.
