2021 Encore Season
Welcome to the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival’s 2021 “Encore Season”
Here are two beautiful chamber music concerts that were recorded in HD with multiple cameras in August of 2021 at the historic First Congregational Church in Wellfleet. The programs include introductions and personal insights from the artists, followed by stellar performances. What a great way to relive the Festival’s 42nd Season – the joyful return of live music to the Cape!
Jon Manasse, Jon Nakamatsu and the Escher String Quartet play Coleridge-Taylor and Schumann
Length: 68:16
The two artistic directors of the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival and the superb Escher String Quartet perform one of the all-time favorites of chamber music, the Schumann Piano Quintet. The program begins with a romantic rarity – the rapturous Clarinet Quintet by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, a Victorian-era composer of African and British heritage. One of the most popular concerts of the Festival’s 2021 season.
