Greetings from Past Performers: Jun 16, 2009
Yo-Yo Ma: It is hard to believe the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival is already celebrating its 30th anniversary. Founded by my dear friend and colleague, the late Samuel Sanders, the festival has always been a beacon for exceptional chamber music making, performing great works, creating new pieces and supporting young talented local musicians.
This year is no exception, and I am particularly pleased to note that Paquito d’Rivera is due to arrive with a new work, and that the concert on August 21st is a tribute to one of the all time great musicians, founding member of the Beaux Arts Trio, cellist Bernard Greenhouse, still a young local musician.
